Why Get Headaches On A Rainy Day?

What Are Headache Triggers?

Quite a number of people question why they feel unwell in the rainy weather. You definitely want to avoid that irritation, as it just destroys your day.

The main reason is, not the rain itself, but the changes in the pressure. Our inner ear has a “sensor” that detects the atmospheric pressure – some people’s “sensors” are so sensitive that they are quick to feel the imbalance in the pressure, which means their brains receive the flooding information that they cannot process, and that causes them to have headaches. They may have symptoms such as: headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, joint pain, aching old injury, asthma attacks, etc. Some may even suffer depression or heart attacks – You see, it can be a huge problem for some people!

What Are Possible Solutions?

People have those symptoms mentioned earlier often because the blood is not circulating well. To your surprise, ear massage 3 times a day can be a great help. But how are we supposed to do it?

How To Perform An Ear Massage

  1. Use your thumbs and index fingers to gently pull your earlobes up, down, and to the side, 5 second for each movement.
  2. Gently pull the earlobes away from your head. Make circular movements slowly.
  3. Curl your ears for 5 seconds.
  4. Cover your ears with your palms and make circular movements for 5 seconds.
